| These handsome bangles are made with a two needle right angle stitch. Don an armful in colors to harmonize with what you're wearing. You'll enjoy learning the right angle stitch which can be easily adapted to making a purse. The use of two needles means that you have fewer threads going through the beads. | How do you get that unusual effect with the glass spheres glittering within? Well, it's the old-fashioned "Knitting Knobby" (which has numerous other names) with colored wire, marbles and beads sprinkled throughout the "knitting". It is a great conversation piece. | |||

My necklace above was selected to be
in Judith Bertoglio-Giffin's new book on slipstitch bead crochet, Bead
Crochet Ropes. I teach how to make a pattern and string it to make
one's own pattern. I also teach how to use various size beads that make
fabulous twisty, turning crochet ropes. This is a workshop for those
who are intermediate level bead crocheters. |
This is a new look in on the Dutch Spiral. The handmade findings are sewn in so that there's no chance that a clasp will part and the wearer lose the necklace (or bracelet) because of defective clasps. The puffy look is attained with the use of old fashioned monofilament fishline. The inventor of the Dutch spiral, Gineke Root, used it in her very well known book, Innovative Beaded Jewelry Techniques. | |||
